Eddie Wayne McDonald was born on June 17, 1958 to the parents of Mrs. Ollie Mae Slaughter McDonald and Mr. Eddie Lee Ephfrom.
After his mother's passing, he was raised by his grandmother Mrs. Lema Slaughter and his aunt Mrs. Mary Francis "Tut" Collier in Madden, MS.
Eddie Wayne was a member of Pine Grove MB Church. He was a 1977 graduate of South Leake High School, where he was a member of the Wildcats football team. In 1979, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX, Ft. Benning, GA, Karlsruhe, Germany and Ft. Polk, LA. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1989. He was employed with River Valley Foods (formerly Central Industries) in Forest for 15 years.
On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, after a lengthy illness, Eddie Wayne went on home to be with our Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ollie Mae McDonald, grandmother Lema Slaughter, siblings Mollie Blackmon, Hal T. Slaughter, Phillip Slaughter, Jeanette Ephrom, and Ronnie Ephfrom.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Eddie Lee Ephrom; his children Syretta Meyon McDonald, Alex T. McDonald, Skolisky "Andy" McDonald, and Darnell Hughes; his grandchildren Hailey "Sophie," Alecia "LeLe," Amari, Braley, Jaylen, Maison, Aislynn "Azee", and Alijah; siblings Eugene (Era) McDonald, Doris Ferrell, Helen McDonald, Pamela (Robert) Felder, Ida Meeks, Bernard (Patricia) Slaughter, Johnny Glen (Clementine) Stanfield, Sandra Lofton, Lisa Ephfrom, Gregory Ephfrom, Dennis Ephrom, and Bobby Harris; aunt and uncles Mary Francis "Tut" Collier, Alsy "Buddy" Slaughter, Jr., and Johnny Frank "Dupe" Slaughter. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
